Max gpe a/b medium set is an excellent choice for composite fabrication using fiberglass, carbon fiber, aramid, and other hybrid fabrics. Its low viscosity allows fast fabric wet-out resulting in minimal void and laminant porosity. Max gpe a/b medium set exhibits exceptional mechanical properties such as impact resistance, compressive and tensile strength. Higher mechanical performance can be achieved after a post cure cycle of 1 hour at 120oc. As a casting resin and potting compound, max gpe a/b medium set demonstrates good dimensional stability excellent electrical insulative performance and low coefficient of expansion and contraction. General mechanical properties aer enhanced after a post cure cycle of 1 hour at 120oc. Prepare all needed tooling and materials before mixing the reisn and curing agent together. Pour the desired amount of resin then the curing agent in a clean container and gently mix with a spatula or mixing blade until uniform blend is achieved. Scrape the sides and bottom of the container to insure a thorough mix. Pour or apply the resin directly unto the prepare surface and allow to cure for at leats 24 to 36 hours. The mixed resin will set-up in less than 2 hours and can be handled in 3 hours. 100 parts a to 50 parts b by weight or volume. 65 minutes at 200 gram mass. 1 to 3 days at 25. 1 cured 2 hours at 80. C plus 3 hours 125. During colder season, the epoxy resin and curing agent will be thicker or higher in viscosity. Temper both components to ta least 23°c to 25°c before mixing. A good method is to place the bottles in a warm room for 24 hours or place both components in a plastic bag and seal tightly. Place the sela bag in a hot water. This will lower the viscosity to the consistency as shown no the video demonstration. Please view the following video for the proper mixing of this epoxy resin. It demonstrates the proper technique of mixing any type of epoxy resin regardless of mix ratio or formulation. The prpoer cure and final performance of any epoxy resin system is highly dependent on the quality and thoroughness of the mixing the two components. The resin and curing agent must be mixed to a homogenous consistency to achieve proper cure and tack free results. Applicatoin of max gpe via roll coat. Max gpe white, black, red, yellow and blue are similar in viscosity and will perform in the same manner as the max gpe white demonstrated in this video. This video is to demonstrate the application of max gpe unto a vertical surface using a roll coater. When kept in a confined mass for a prolonged period it acn generate high exothermic heat and cause rapid curing. This high exothermic heat will cure the resin in the spray gun and render it permanently unusable. Use acetone fro general clean-up before the resin cures. Adoeb flash player must be installed in your computer to view the demonstration video. Click on the box if you see a blakn screen and a dialog box will open and download the latest version of the adobe player. Please view the following video demonstratino regarding batch size mixing. The resin used was max mcr which has similar reaction when mixed ni large mass and allowed to react in a confined mass. Max gpe colored epoxy casting. Don't forget our epoxy mixing kit. Everything you need to measure, mix, dispense or apply any of our max epoxy resin. The container in which the epoxy and curing agent is mixed is an important consideration when mixing an epoxy resin system. The container must withstand the tenacity of the chemical and must be free fo contamination. Proportioning the correct amount is equally as important to attani the intended cured properties of the resin system. 4 each 32 ounce (1 quart) clear hdpe plastic tubs. 4 each 16 ounce (1 pint) clear hdpe plastic tubs. 4 each clear hdpe plastic lids ofr the plastic tubs. 4 eahc 8 ounce (1/2-pint) wax free paper cups. 1 pack assorted size bristle brush (5 per pack). Max gpe colored epoxy resin can be used for decorative and artistic application. Click on picture to pause or play slide show.

We have formulated the max gpe colored epoxy resin system to be used in a wide spectrmu of pre-coating conditions and results may vary. The following slide hsow are basic steps and application conditions typical to achieve excellent results. The max gpe formulation has been optimized to be used as a general coating resin system suitable for mnay applications including marine applications. An aliphatic based polyurethane is typically required to improve its color stability, especially the max gpe white which is an optically bright white color hue. Some color matching maybe required using our max epoxy color concentrate paste or an epoxy compatibel colorant.
